The headquarters of the Artificial Nutrition Unit of the Institute has always been the 2nd Surgical Clinic, which has become the Department of Surgery ‘Paride Stefanini’. The Unit is currently located in the ‘Bassotto’ wing between the the first and second Hall of Surgery at the very back of the emergency department of the Policlinico Umberto I °

In recent years the number of patients referred to our unit has increased dramatically and the Hospital could not provide sufficient facilities. We were forced therefore to establish a center outside the private clinic that deals mainly in obese patients.

Part of the activity is also conducted at the clinic of San Domenico which is located near the hospital.
